we help people to do the things that are important to them,
in the places that matter.
At Country Connect Foundation, we prioritise enhancing social and emotional wellbeing through culturally relevant activities. Whether it’s fishing, hunting for yams or oysters, gathering pandanus or bush medicine, or attending a ceremony - you choose the activity, and we’ll take care of the rest with our reliable vehicles, accommodation, support, and resources. Our purpose is to help you stay connected to your country, culture, and community.
Country Connect Foundation was established in 2020 by founders Troy Barrett and Louise Lethbridge. After residing in the East Arnhem region for over a decade, Troy and Louise recognised the urgent need for locally, place-based services to support individuals living with disabilities, and youth. Since its founding in Nhulunbuy, the foundation has experienced rapid growth in response to the rising demand for these services in the region.
Today, our services extend across multiple regions, offering support to participants, their families and carers, and the broader communities.
